The Sverdlovsk Railway has launched a new expedited container service from Yekaterinburg to China. According to the Federal Customs Service (FCS), the train travels in transit through Kazakhstan.
• The first train, consisting of 62 wagons with consolidated cargo, departed on July 8 from the Ural Logistics Center (TLC "Uralsky").
• The route to the Dostyk border station on the Chinese border is organized under an accelerated schedule.
• Transit time is no more than six days.
• The train will cross the Russian-Kazakh border via the Zauralye checkpoint — a section previously unused for container traffic.
The FCS emphasizes that this solution will help redistribute cargo flows and reduce pressure on traditionally overloaded routes, particularly the Kartaly border crossing and the Trans-Siberian Railway section.
