Another Major Logistics Terminal to Be Built in Zabaykalsk
Gazprombank has signed a concession agreement to develop a new transport and logistics center (TLC) in Zabaykalsk, Russia. The facility is designed to handle approximately 3.5 million tonnes of cargo annually, with total investment estimated at RUB 17 billion.
The project includes the construction of cargo handling, storage, and transshipment terminals, access roads, and nearly 24 kilometers of railway infrastructure.
Plans to expand terminal infrastructure in the Zabaykalsky Krai have been under discussion for several years. Back in 2023, authorities unveiled a program to develop three transport and logistics centers in Chita, Borzya, and Zabaykalsk. The Zabaykalsk project is now moving into the implementation phase.
If completed on schedule, the project will further increase the capacity of the largest land border crossing between Russia and China, strengthening cross-border trade and logistics connectivity.
